Guest Posting

We have decided to implement guest posting here at The Solar Lights Site.  If you would like to submit a guest post, you can register as a contributor HERE. <-click

Guest posting has a ton of advantages.  Posting to a site like the Solar Lights Site gives your web page extremely relevant backlinks and traffic.  Since we allow one anchored back link “above the fold” (as well as 2 in the author bio), your link will show up on the home page. Currently, this site is PR4, which gives your link all kinds of juice.

In order to post you article here you must follow these guideline:

Author Guidelines

Your article must be unique – The article that you submit must be unique.  Do not publish articles that have been published elsewhere.  Once you have published the article here, do not publish it anywhere else.  We pride ourselves on our articles being 100% unique.  That means no “spun” articles, “UAW” articles, or articles rewritten by any other type of software.

Your article must be relevant – We only accept articles that are related to solar lights and solar lighting.  Solar technology articles are acceptable, as long as they are tied into lights or lighting somehow.

Your article must be quality – We are looking for articles that have something to say that will interest the readers.  People come to the Solar Lights Site because they are interested in learning more about solar lighting.  Let’s give them interesting, thought provoking and/or compelling content.  This site’s articles get a lot of click-throughs.  Give our readers something worth reading and they will want to click through to your site for more info.  That means you need to make sure your article has good spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Your article must be a minimum of 400 words – Let’s face it, the longer the post, the more long-tail keywords this article has a chance to rank for.  If your article ranks in Google, it passes more authority to the site you are linking to from it.  The more words – the better!

No keyword stuffing – Let your keywords naturally appear in your articles.  Stuffing only hurts its performance.

Follow link placement rules – We allow one anchored link above the fold and two in the author signature.  The one above the fold (in the first paragraph or two) will be included in the excerpt, which will allow your link to show up on our (currently PR4) home page.  You may also include 2 anchored links in your author bio box.  I recommend the following:

1 link to your home page above the fold

1 deep link to a post within your site in the author bio

1 link to another related site, article, hub, etc. in the author bio

When all else fails, just refer to your best judgment.  Submit good quality articles and the article gods will bless you.  We will review posts daily and format them accordingly, so that they fit the blog’s theme.  We will not, however, spend a bunch of time fixing mistakes.
